Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ask Tony Gaskins AI (“the Service”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Ascendance (“we”, “us”) as the platform; Tony Gaskins is the coach whose voice and content power the AI.

Information we collect

When you use the Service we collect:

• Account info. Your name and email address, supplied directly or via Google sign-in. We never see your Google password.
• Conversation content. The messages you send and the AI’s responses. Stored against your account so you can resume across devices.
• Uploaded files. Documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT) you attach are read, converted to text, and passed to the AI to answer your question. Images you attach are sent to the AI’s vision model for the same purpose.
• Usage data. Token counts, message timestamps, and estimated cost per call so we can measure platform health.
• Payment data. If you subscribe or buy credits, Stripe handles the payment. We receive your customer ID and subscription status; we never see or store your card number.

How we use it

• To generate AI responses to your messages.
• To save your chat history so you can come back to it.
• To bill you and prevent abuse of the free tier.
• To improve the Service (anonymized usage metrics only).

Who we share data with

• OpenAI — your messages are sent to OpenAI’s API to generate the AI’s replies. Per OpenAI’s data policy for API usage, your content is not used to train their models.
• Supabase — our database + auth host. They store your account and chats on our behalf.
• Stripe — payment processor. They receive only what they need to process payments and pay coaches.
• Vercel — hosting + edge network for the Service itself.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, etc.).

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not give it to third-party AI training datasets.

Your choices

• Edit or delete a conversation. Use the trash icon in the sidebar.
• Delete your account. Account settings → Delete account. This removes your conversations, profile, and credit ledger within 30 days.
• Export your data. Email hello@asktonyg.com and we’ll send you a JSON export of everything we store about you.
• Opt out of analytics. If we add analytics, we’ll honor browser Do-Not-Track and the GPC signal. Currently we only collect server-side metrics necessary to operate the Service.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us their information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where we’re required to keep billing records for tax purposes (typically 7 years).

Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are HttpOnly. Database access is gated by row-level security so users can only read their own data. We’ll never email you a link asking for your password.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way we’ll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
